Handmade with love in Lexington and Rockport

Cindy Atoji Keene is a Massachusetts-based artist, maker, and professional idea-generator who blends craft and community storytelling—often inspired by New England’s coastal towns, historic sites, and everyday beauty.

With a background in communications, tourism, and digital storytelling, Cindy brings both heart and strategy to everything she creates. She’s worked on augmented reality tours, heritage programs, and local tourism initiatives, while still finding time to experiment with new materials at her studio table (usually covered in glue, paper scraps, and coffee cups).

Cindy’s work is rooted in curiosity, humor, and the belief that handmade things—and shared stories—still matter. Whether she’s designing a coloring book, painting an oyster shell, or hosting a workshop, her goal is always the same: to make something meaningful, approachable, and a little bit delightful.

When she’s not creating, Cindy is usually exploring coastal towns, collecting ideas, cheering on her family, or starting “just one more project.”
